Internal Communication and Behavioural Change

Internal marketing is more than building the internal brand it is a powerful tool to help change behaviour. By encouraging employees to have a clear vision for the future and take ownership of organisational values, new attitudes and behaviours will be reinforced that will achieve long lasting cultural change.

Our approach places behavioural change before all else. We use effective behavioural change techniques drawn from Viral Change (TM), neuro-linguistic programming, somatic intelligence and cognitive behavioural science. Time again, these techniques bring about behavioural change faster, more effectively, in a more inclusive way that wins the hearts and minds of people. It is certainly long lasting.

Internal communication programmes will support this by helping to build a community of people who are on the same page, motivated to move in the same direction and who have a great sense of being connected together in a worthwhile enterprise. We take a multi channel approach to internal communication and champion a grass roots level approach by encouraging employees to get directly involved.

This brings measurable bottom line benefits: the cultural change that is achieved will see your organisation move to new ways of being and doing and your employees will be more engaged and less stressed in the process. Engaged employees lead to customer loyalty. For example, Sears, Canada found that for every 5% increase in employee loyalty, they saw a 1% increase in customer loyalty and a 3.4% increase in EBIT.

HOW?

We work closely with you to put together programmes to help you effect change.
  • we meet with you to discuss and fully understand your situation
  • from the business needs analysis we compile a communications needs analysis
  • we ascertain your objectives, key messages and segment these according to your target audience
  • we put together a strategy proposal that includes recommendations on the right channels, content and campaigns

WHAT?

  • we challenge you to look closely at what you stand for and we help you translate values into a set of desired behaviours and customer experiences
  • we devise channel strategies that are integrated across multiple media for greatest impact
  • design the look and feel of all communications to align with your objectives and your own branding
  • organise and deliver face to face training and facilitation sessions as well as events such as conferences and roadshows to deliver the messages
  • create bespoke coaching programmes for your managers to ensure they become part of the change programme

AND AFTER THAT?

During this process we will coach and mentor your people - whether this is your own communications team or other managers – so that they learn the skills necessary for good communication during change management and your organisation becomes a learning organisation ... and we are no longer needed.
